As a parent of two young children, I quickly reali<\/span>s<\/span>ed there<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span>very little<\/span> quality educational content available for children in the languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our little ones <\/span>end up<\/span> watch<\/span>ing<\/span> program<\/span>me<\/span>s from the rest of the world via YouTube, which <\/span>isn\u2019t<\/span> great for their<\/span> speech <\/span>and <\/span>learning the<\/span>ir<\/span> mother tongue.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\n\nAdnan Koro,<\/strong> leader of the \u201cGuardians of Tradition\u201d Association\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe s<\/span>tories <\/span>on<\/span> LePetit.app<\/span> tackle issues that will help children deal with <\/span>strong<\/span> emotions, <\/span>facing <\/span>challenge<\/span>s <\/span>and experienc<\/span>ing things like<\/span> l<\/span>os<\/span>s or gaining a new family member<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> Created by Susan <\/span>Perrow<\/span>, a globally renowned Australian author, <\/span>having t<\/span>hese stories <\/span>available in this region is a <\/span>dream<\/span> c<\/span>ome<\/span> true.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n

“I was <\/span>thrilled<\/span> to learn that my stories <\/span>will<\/span> be heard in this region, <\/span>especially<\/span> by children in Bosnia and Herzegovina!”<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\nAbout this project<\/strong>\n\nThe \u201cSpeech Development through Modern Technologies\u201dproject was implemented through\nRegional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 (ReLOaD2), which is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with a support of Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.\n\nSeeing how children can benefit from this project, Sarajevo Canton\u2019s Ministry of Education has approved the use of this programme in local kindergartens, under the management of the Sarajevo Children\u2019s Public Institution in\u00a0Novo\u00a0Sarajevo.\r\n\r\nFunded by the European Union, and supported by UNDP, this project is making a significant impact on children\u2019s\u00a0education. <\/span>In Sarajevo, <\/span>a new version<\/span> of the <\/span>LePetit.app<\/span> was introduced in late February, now offering a speech therapy program<\/span>me<\/span> with over a hundred exercises for children with speech issues. <\/span>It helps<\/span> parents, caregivers, and teachers <\/span>identify<\/span> and treat speech disorders in children.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\n

“Through my work with children, I have noticed a rise in the number of children facing speech difficulties in recent years, along with various other challenges, due to excessive use of IT devices, especially in preschool age. I believe that the Speech Therapy programme, which has enriched the digital kingdom of LePetit.app stories, is an excellent tool for children to complete homework assigned by speech therapists at home.\u201d\n<\/span><\/i>Lidija Sejdinovi\u0107<\/strong>, narrator and educator<\/p>\nLePetit.app is loved by both children and their parents because it helps them have better conversations while keeping their family traditions alive.
