Steady. Our Europe!\u201d<\/em>, showcasing 18 standout photos selected from nearly 183 submissions by youth aged 18\u201329. The initiative, supported by the EU\u2019s WeBalkans programme, unites creativity, sport, and regional connection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regional rollout of launch events<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The journey began on\u00a0<strong>10 June<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0<em>Europe House Belgrade<\/em>, where WeBalkans Photo Exhibition Tour kicked off.\u00a0<strong>Plamena Halacheva<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, officially opened the exhibition alongside Teqball world champions\u00a0<strong>Bogdan Marojevi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Nikola Mitro<\/strong>, and FIBA 3&#215;3 Champions Cup winner\u00a0<strong>Nenad Nerand\u017ei\u0107<\/strong>. Around 20 guests\u2014media, youth, jury members\u2014gathered in an intimate setting to celebrate the power of sport in visual storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Izlozba-WeBalkans-13-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0<strong>8 July<\/strong>, the exhibition reached\u00a0<em>Europe House Podgorica<\/em>, in a city where sport is part of everyday life. EU Media &amp; Public Affairs Officer\u00a0<strong>Paolo Londero<\/strong>\u00a0led the launch, joined by celebrated Montenegrin water polo player\u00a0<strong>Stefan Vidovi\u0107<\/strong>. The event, attended by around 20 people, echoed the coastal country\u2019s passion for aquatic sports and its growing creative scene.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Podgorica-Photo-Contest.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The stop at\u00a0<em>Europe House Skopje<\/em>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>15 July<\/strong>\u00a0coincided with the\u00a0<strong>European Youth Olympic Festival<\/strong>\u00a0in Skopje and Kumanovo, infusing the launch with a spirit of competition and unity.\u00a0<strong>Aleksandar Melamed<\/strong>, Team Leader for Communication and Press at the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, welcomed about 30 guests. The city\u2019s vibrant summer atmosphere, coupled with the festival\u2019s international presence, gave the photographs a well deserved spotlight.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Skopje-Photo-Contest.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<em>Europe House Tirana<\/em>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>22 July<\/strong>, the exhibition found a home in Albania\u2019s bustling capital. EU Ambassador\u00a0<strong>Silvio Gonzato<\/strong>\u00a0opened the event alongside athletics champion\u00a0<strong>Klodiana Shala<\/strong>, symbolising perseverance and ambition\u2014values mirrored in many of the displayed photographs. Around 20 attendees explored how sport can inspire both personal and societal change.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Tirana-Photo-Exhibition.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1366\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0<strong>25 July<\/strong>, the exhibition took a dramatic turn, opening at the historic\u00a0<em>Gradina Fortress<\/em>\u00a0during the Maglaj Spirit Weekend.\u00a0<strong>Adebayo Babajide<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, inaugurated the event before around 50 guests. With handball star\u00a0<strong>Emir Deli\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0and volleyball player\u00a0<strong>Ema Suljakovi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0in attendance, the medieval setting provided a striking contrast to the modern images, making this stop a highlight of the tour.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Maglaj-Photo-Exhibition.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The next stop of this leg was\u00a0<em>Europe House Pristina<\/em>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>5 August<\/strong>, where EU Ambassador\u00a0<strong>Aivo Orav<\/strong>\u00a0welcomed guests. Volleyball champion\u00a0<strong>Dea Maliqi<\/strong>\u00a0and CrossFit athlete\u00a0<strong>Gentiana Gashi<\/strong>\u00a0added energy to the opening, attended by around 20 people. In Kosovo\u2019s youthful and creative capital, the exhibition underscored the role of sport in building resilience and unity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pristina-Photo-Exhibition.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The final stop of the WeBalkans Photo Exhibition Tour will be\u00a0<strong>Struga<\/strong>, a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Ohrid, known for its poetry festival and rich cultural heritage. The exhibition arrives here as part of a series of cultural events marking the season. Against the backdrop of calm waters and historic bridges, the 18 photographs will be displayed in an open-air setting, inviting locals and tourists to connect with the stories they tell. In this setting, sport and art meet nature, closing the tour on a reflective yet celebratory note.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Next?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After traveling through the Western Balkans, the WeBalkans Photo Exhibition continues its journey to\u00a0<strong>Struga, North Macedonia,<\/strong>\u00a0before concluding. Viewers across the region are invited to vote online, as a public vote is now underway via Instagram polls open through\u00a0<strong>12 August<\/strong>, with winners announced on\u00a0<strong>14 August<\/strong>. The six top-voted photographers will win inspirational trips to EU capitals.<\/p>\n<p>The Webalkans Photo Exhibition underlined the potent synergy of youth creativity, sport, and regional solidarity.
