{"id":1051556,"date":"2023-03-01T13:52:31","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T12:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/?p=1051556"},"modified":"2023-03-01T13:52:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T12:52:46","slug":"eu-supports-construction-of-the-new-premises-for-the-faculty-of-mathematics-and-natural-sciences-in-kosovo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/en\/news\/eu-supports-construction-of-the-new-premises-for-the-faculty-of-mathematics-and-natural-sciences-in-kosovo\/","title":{"rendered":"EU supports construction of the new premises for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Kosovo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The EU Ambassador in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, and Rector of University of Pristina (UP),<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Prof Dr<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Qerim Qerimi, marked on 23 February the beginning of the construction of the new premises for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The construction of new faculty premises, worth \u20ac8.9 million, is part of a broader EU for Employment and Education Program and is one of the many education infrastructure projects financed by the EU in Kosovo. While the EU will fund the construction of the premises, the University of Pristina will supply furniture and laboratory equipment worth EUR 5 million. \u201cThis is yet another EU investment in education in Kosovo. From 2007 to 2022, the EU has invested \u20ac85 million in the development of the education system in Kosovo to help create opportunities for students and academia in Kosovo similar to those in the EU, and contribute to knowledge-led economic development and job creation,\u201d said Ambassador Szunyog.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The construction works are expected to be
