Tradicionalno, sad ve\u0107 du\u017ee od dvije decenije, 9. maj se slavi kao Dan Evrope \u0161irom Zapadnog Balkana. Gra\u0111ani su imali priliku da s u\u017eitkom poprate muzi\u010dke koncerte, sportske doga\u0111aje kao i umjetni\u010dke izlo\u017ebe. Mladi evropski ambasadori su tako\u0111er bili dijelom ovih de\u0161avanja u slavu Dana Evrope u gradovima Zapadnog Balkana, daju\u0107i svoj doprinos tome, kroz radionice, diskusije i aktivnosti za ja\u010danje gra\u0111anske svijesti o temama kao \u0161to su ljudska prava, digitalna i zelena budu\u0107nost, izgradnja mira i rodna ravnopravnost.<\/p>\n

Dan Evrope obilje\u017eava sje\u0107anje na potpisivanje ‘\u0160umanove deklaracije’ ‘Schuman Declaration’<\/a>\u00a0 9. maja 1950. To potpisivanje je bio ambiciozan plan da se osigura dugoro\u010dni mir u poslijeratnoj Evropi i smatra se po\u010detkom onoga \u0161to je danas Evropska unija. U svom govoru, u Parizu 1950. Godine, tada\u0161nji francuski ministar vanjskih poslova Robert Schuman, iznio je svoju ideju o novom obliku politi\u010dke saradnje u Evropi zahvaljuju\u0107i kojem bi rat bio nezamisliv me\u0111u evropskim nacijama. Ovaj dan je prilika da se prisjetimo \u0160umanove deklaracije, prvog temeljnog dokumenta u stvaranju dana\u0161nje EU, i da slavimo evropske vrijednosti.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
